Rubaba Haider‘s work features in Jaren | جڑیں | Roots | جذور, a collaborative exhibition between the Islamic Museum of Australia, La Trobe University and Bundoora Homestead Art Centre. The exhibition reflects the diverse communities of artists that call or have called Australia home, specifically focusing on artists who express cultural heritage and practices from Central Asia, South Asia, West Asia, North Africa and Eastern Europe.

Curated by Mahmoud Mohammed, Jacqui Shelton and Sarah Werkmeister, Rubaba Haider’s work features in Jaren | جڑیں | Roots | جذور alongside examples by artists Abdul Abdullah, Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Cigdem Aydemir, Mirela Cufurovic, Fatima Killeen, Aniwar Mamat, Nusra Latif Qureshi and Naeem Rana.

In addition, Rubaba Haider’s work will feature in the upcoming exhibition An Still I Rise at Art Gallery of New South Wales, opening in November. The exhibition is a celebration of women’s art practice, the exhibition foregrounds materiality through a wide variety of media, including textiles, painting, metalwork, installation and video.
