Angela Brennan is a finalist in the Archibald Prize 2025. Her portrait of award-winning Indigenous journalist and Brennan’s niece Bridget Brennan will feature in the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2025 exhibition, opening at the Art Gallery of New South Wales on 10 May.

In addition, Angela Brennan’s work features in The Intelligence of Painting at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. This exciting exhibition throws a spotlight on the energy of contemporary painting in Australia today through the work of 14 Australian women artists, including Angela Brennan. Curated by Suzanne Cotter and Manya Sellers, this must-see exhibition continues MCA’s commitment to be a platform for living artists.
