Congratulations Euan Heng, finalist in the Len Fox Painting Award. An exhibition of the finalists’ work will be held at Castlemaine Art Museum, opening in December.

Euan Heng is also a finalist in the Geelong Contemporary Art Prize and Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery’s National Works on Paper award. An exhibition of the National Works on Paper award finalists’ work is currently showing at MPRG, until 22 November and the Geelong Contemporary Art Prize opens in December at Geelong Art Gallery.

Sangeeta Sandrasegar: ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

An artist talk and exhibition opening for back and back, forever: Sangeeta Sandrasegar will be held at Wangaratta Art Gallery on Thursday, 22 October. The solo exhibition of Sangeeta Sandrasegar‘s brings together two bodies of work created concurrently across 2025, exploring place and belonging. 

Early works by Sangeeta Sandrasegar feature in the current exhibition and publication The Mordant Family Gift at the recently expanded Newcastle Art Museum. The exhibition brings together twenty-six works by sixteen artists, working across diverse materials and approaches.

In addition, new work by Sangeeta Sandrasegar will feature in the exhibition Love Letters at Heide Museum of Modern Art. Love Letters brings together artworks from contemporary artists from across the globe.

On Country: Photography from Australia has premiered in Australia at the Immigration Museum, Melbourne after a well-received debut at Rencontres d’Arles, France in 2025. An installation of Brenda L. Croft‘s photographic series Naabámi (thou shall/will see): Barangaroo (army of me) features in the landmark exhibition, which is receiving attention from National Indigenous Times and Capture magazine.

Noel McKenna: THE LADY WITH THE DOG

Angelina Karadada Boona: ARTBANK PRIZE

Congratulations Angelina Karadada Boona, finalist in the inaugural Artbank Prize. Angelina is a Wunambal Gaambera/Worrora woman. Born in Kalumburu Western Australia, Angelina Karadada Boona utilises traditional white ochre and considers the process of collecting and mixing an important opportunity to connect to ancestors. Angelina Karadada Boona is a Senior Arts Worker at Kira Kiro Artists. She graduated from the ANKA Arts Worker Foundation Training Program and the National Gallery of Australia Wesfarmers Indigenous Leadership Fellowship in 2019.
