Brenda L. Croft: ARTIST SPOTLIGHT
An installation of Brenda L. Croft‘s photographic series Naabámi (thou shall/will see): Barangaroo (army of me) features in Alliance, Infinity, Love – in the Face of the other: 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg. Curated by Mark Sealy, the triennial celebrates the cultural and artistic diversity of photography and its healing and transformative power.
Opening on the 5 July, the exhibition LA+ 001 | McKenzie + Croft at La Perouse Museum brings together photographic works by Eora/Anaiwan artist Peter McKenzie + (Gurindji/Malngin/Mudburra Peoples; Anglo-Australian/Chinese/
In addition, Brenda L. Croft is a finalist in both Hadley’s Art Prize and The National Photographic Portrait Prize. An exhibition of the The National Photographic Portrait Prize finalists’ works will be held from 22 August to 11 October 2026 at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra before touring nationally. An exhibition of Hadley’s Art Prize finalists’ work opens in August.
As part of the national mentorship program, FUTURE COUNTRY: Country Road + NGV First Nations Commissions Brenda L. Croft mentored Paul Girrawah House. The resulting exhibition ends in September.
