Helen Maudsley, Through the Never Country. Going; Rushing Along. Here and There and Never Was., 2010, oil on canvas, 34 x 54cm

DIALECT: WORKS FROM THE TOWN HALL GALLERY COLLECTION

Dialect: Works from the Town Hall Gallery Collection includes work by Niagara artist Helen Maudsley, alongside examples by Fred Williams, Eric Thake, Ian Armstrong and Robert Jacks.

The exhibition considers the way in which artists develop styles and marks that form a type of handwriting, particular to each artist. Viewers are encouraged to look at how some artists have changed their style over the years, while others have a very clear signature that has become like a trademark.

Exhibition runs from 16 January - 6 March 2016
